No. Our templates use some code, but all you have to do is swap out a few hex codes. Our Site School course, which comes free with every template, shows you exactly how to do that.

Contact us and we’ll either give you a quote for our template customization service or refer you to another designer who can help if our plate is full.

Yes! If you’re a designer, you may use our templates to build client websites. One purchase is good for one client site.

We’ll send you an contributor invite for your copy of the template. Once you accept, you’ll become an admin on the template site and we’ll transfer ownership to you. The template will appear as a new trial website in your Squarespace dashboard and you can customize it without disrupting your current website.
If you choose done-for-you installation at checkout, we’ll email and ask you to grant us admin permissions on your website. Once granted, we’ll install the template pages and styles on your existing website.

If you would like the template installed on your existing website, choose the “Done-for-You Installation” bump at checkout. Keep in mind that this will disrupt your current website.
Alternatively, you can have the template delivered the default way—as a new trial website—and simply transfer your domain name, cancel your old Squarespace plan, and sign up for a new plan when you’re ready to launch. If you contact Squarespace support, they can refund you for any time not used on your old plan and you’ll save 25% on the first year of your new annual plan with our discount!
